Cost and Payment
All Teams: Total cost $1,100 per player
Initial $500 due at Tryout on Sept. 8, 2008 plus monthly installments of $150 due Nov1, Dec1, Jan1 and Feb1.
Tryout Information
All Tryouts will be at Forbes Middle School. Tryouts run from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on September 8, 2008. Players need to complete the Tryout Form and bring with them the following: a parent and the $35.00 non-refundable tryout fee. Players should come ready to play. Age divisions are defined by player's age as of September 1, 2009.
At the end of Tryouts
Following the tryout, a list of players will be posted for each team. Players will be offered positions at this time according to the lists posted. Should a player decide to accept an offer to play for Georgetown Volleyball Club, they will meet their team and fill out the registration forms for the Lone Star Region. All forms and the initial payment must be received by GVC before a player leaves the tryout site to reserve their position on the team. Should a player decline an offer of a position, an alternate on the team list may be offered that position.
Fees
• Initial payment covers USA Volleyball fees, uniform, team equipment, and initial fees for coaching and tournaments. The initial fee is due upon selection for the team and is non-refundable. All remaining coaching and tournament fees will be split into 4 payments due monthly, November 1st, December 1st, January 1st and February 1st. Payments 5 days past due will result in suspension of player from tournament play.
• No refunds will be made for players withdrawing from the team for any reason.
• All other personal expenses are the responsibility of the individual player and family (i.e., food, lodging, travel, personal equipment, etc.).
Insurance
GVC recommends that each player be covered by insurance. That information will be collected on a USAV medical history and release form. The completed form will be available at each tournament in the event emergency care is needed for the player.
Practice Schedule
• Practices are twice a week, 3:00 to 5:00 Sunday afternoons and 6:30-8:30 one day during the week.
• Sunday practice will NOT be held for a team who played a tournament the same weekend.
• Practices may be held at Forbes Middle School.
